We were honored last year to be nominated one of the 4 best bands in rochester.
We didn't promote this at all last year as we had no idea we even had a chance, NOW
it is time once again to CAST YOUR VOTE! PLEASE visit the link and vote for us..
Who will be this year's best in show? It's YOUR call: the Best of Rochester 2010 Primary Ballot is now open! You can take the online-only survey now through Friday, October 1. Submit your favorites in at least 40 categories to be eligible to win some of our amazing prizes, including gift certificates to some of the best restaurants, shops, and services Rochester has to offer.
Then check back on Wednesday, October 6, to find out the top four vote-getters competing in this year's final Best Of Rochester ballot. The winners will be announced in the 2010 Best of Rochester edition of City Newspaper, which will publish on November 10.

We are pleased to announce that we are officially affiliated with FOOD LINK now.
For those of you unaware of what this means, in short FOOD LINK is a nationwide
charity that takes collections of nonperishable items for people in need.
We have it set up so we can accept donations for FOOD LINK at every event
we perform both in and out of town.
So from here on out....when you come to our shows....you are encouraged to bring
whatever you can for donation in your own community.
This month we are starting with our community on Sunday Sept 5th 2010 at Vertex
Rochester NY 14623. We will be performing an hour and 15min set along with
Jace, Marlowe, Dj Minx and Dj Darkwave.
We will also have a door raffle and a barrel for donations.

will notice a few more banners in our links section for Technoir , The
Azoic , Mind.In.A.Box , Cyber Angels and IRIS. We
have recently had a remix of "Reverie" done by Mind.In.A.Box
and you can hear a sample version here. We will be releasing that along
with re mixes of other Silent Auction songs by various artists in the
near future. You
may have noticed the word PART 1 after H on Earth in the previous post. H
on Earth will be released in two parts, separate from each other. The
original concept of this album was to create a story in sound between
Heaven & Hell, light & dark, electronic pop & heavy EBM sequencing.
Each song represents a product of the whole while allowing the tracks
to still speak on their own, creating a frenzy of two minds (Jason &
Terri) colliding. Our decision to release Part I and Part II separately
comes from realizing the true nature of H on Earth and that it has taken
on a life of its own. Silent Auction has come a long way from where we
were 3 years ago in sound, influence, and quality songwriting and we continue
to develop. We want to enable you, our listener, to understand where we
have been to understand and embrace where we are going. Part I will allow
you to hear more clearly the two minds of Silent Auction working independently
towards the original concept of the album, while Part II will showcase
these two minds coming together note-for-note, voice-to-voice towards
the common goal. This is what has become so exciting for us in the studio
- we can almost visualize our brains working together as we progress into
a unified, unique edgy electro sound. We are a team that works beyond
the rules of any game. Get ready for H on Earth - Part I. We will be posting
the release date immediately after we make the move to our new studio. IRIS

comes at a very inconvenient time for us since we're so close to the finish

From 6pm to 8pm get your art on with LEFT BEHIND The " Left Behind" exhibit is a study of human abandonment by Harold Copp. His choice of repetitive imagery , bold colors and factual stories and interviews will have your heart , mind and for some of you, your tears. His work depicts some of life’s historical tragedies and triumphs all done in an extremely creatively destructive manor in which to further emphasise the experience of the paintings themselves. This exhibit is the culmination of 10 years of Harold Copps life’s work. And in my personal opinion well done. You will leave the exhibit and enter the party feeling touched...and that is exactly the point. To be reminded of who we are and that though we may all have our differences we all.... need, feel, love, suffer and overcome and that we all do these things in our truest of forms...as human beings. Silent Auction is moving to a brand new studio space!
After
years of searching and planning, we have finally found a space in the
northern end of Rochester, NY to set up our new studio. Our future plan
of building a full & professional in-home recording and mixing studio
is still in the works, but until we purchase a place to call "home"
where such a space can be custom built, this new space is just what the
doctor ordered. It will be semi-permanent, meaning everything we are building
for this new space will be able to be moved in the future (except for
the brick walls, of course).

Trip to Baltimore.

weeks ago Terri and Jason went to baltimore. A friend of ours suggested
a club called"Club Orpheus"To our surprise, the club was much
cooler than either one of us had expected. Within minutes we both felt
at home. Everyone was so nice , and down to earth just like our club here
" Vertex ". They were more than kind enough to allow us to smother
there club with our posters and our fliers and even spun "Close your
eyes "and announce us to the rest of the club goers. We both wanted
to thank first our friend "Flummy" for the great suggestion,
and also thank the patrons and the staff of " Club Orpheus "
. We arrived on they're weekly friday night event named "Ascension".
We highly suggest anyone who will be traveling to the Baltimore M.D. area
and needs a great get away from the travel visit " Club Orpheus "or
for that matter if your looking for an excuse to travel to Baltimore M.D.
go there on a friday and indulge in they're friday night event "Ascension"Also
since we were so impressed by everyone there . we have been inspired to
make a spot on our site to help cross-promote some of the cool places
we visit and the few bands we collaborate with in our spare time. You

Jason R steps down
On
November 18th 2006 Jason R announced his decision to leave Silent Auction
in order to focus on his family and other commitments. His last Silent
Auction track will be on our next release "H on Earth" titled
"Left Alone". Jason R and Jason B started Silent Auction back
in 1997, he and has hung on through many changes over the past 9 years.
Though he will no longer be with the group in an official capacity he
still plans to make guest appearances and contribute to the group in the
future. You can still find his solo work under touch response via the

I'm
happy to announce that I'm finally done tinkering with our web site. Due
to many e-mails stating that the web site was to big for most browsers,
I have rebuilt, restructured and resized the entire site.It is now ready
foremost standard screen resolutions"best fit 1024 by 768 but works
well with 1280 by 1024 and above". Now that this is done you can
expect to see the photo gallery, the news page, the links page and the
events page grow. Please be patient with us on the photographs as we have
many to filter through and I have to catch up on a few things related

years ago today ( Labor day 2003) we happily introduced Terri as the female
vocalist you've all grown to know and love almost as much as we do! Since
her debut with us at the Vertex Labor day performance in 2003, Terri has
become a permanent fixture in the overall spectrum of what Silent Auction
has become. She has been, ever since 2003, an official partner and we
have had nothing but pure fun... listening to her music and watching her
grow in vocals and composition. ALSO 2 years ago, also at a Vertex Labor
day performance 2004,we THANKFULLY got bum rushed by some guy in forest
green khaki shorts and a long ponytail (and a smoking wife) who had excitedly
offered to do a remix of one of our older tracks,"Close your eyes",
that he had heard for the first time that evening.We now refer to this
guy (with a smoking wife) as Mike Dailor, friend, companion, cook, partner,
another permanent fixture, and owner of "AngstLABRecords"
